WHAT IS EUCHARISTIC ADORATION?

Ever wish you could be face to face with Jesus and just talk to Him? That’s exactly what happens in Eucharistic Adoration!

Eucharistic Adoration is an opportunity to spend quiet time with Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist. You can stay for 5 minutes or an hour — and since the chapel is always open, you can come by and say hi to Jesus any time, whether it’s 3 am or 3 pm!

searching for peace, joy, answers, healing, and quiet?

Jesus has all of those things for you. Come experience them in Eucharistic Adoration!

BUT...WHAT EXACTLY SHOULD I DO DURING ADORATION?

Eucharistic Adoration doesn’t have a set routine you have to follow. You can just go in and pray quietly!

If the lack of structure feels awkward, remember this story: St. John Vianney once encountered a man who would attend Adoration each morning. He finally asked him one day what he did during Adoration, and the man replied simply, “I look at Him, and He looks at me.”

You don’t have to DO anything in Adoration; you can just be.

But if you’re new to Eucharistic Adoration, here are our suggestions of some things you can do to make the most of your time with Jesus:

Pray
This is the most common thing to do in Adoration — talk to God! You can pray for yourself or others, ask for direction with difficulties you're facing, or pray a set prayer like the Rosary or a novena.

Read or Journal
You can read the Bible, daily Mass readings, or other spiritual books in Adoration as well. Make sure to bring a notebook for any revelations you might have!

Listen
Our world is noisy and it can be hard to hear God's voice. Simply being with Him in the quiet is a wonderful time to listen to His still small voice providing the direction, love, and grace you need.
